José Ezequiel Soto Sánchez has a Mathematics PhD from IMPA, at Visgraf Lab, in Rio de Janeiro. His current research is in geometric patterns, tilings, and tessellations. He has interest and some background in image processing, geometric modeling and processing, digital fabrication, data science, machine learning, mathematical visual arts, and computational music. He worked for over 7 years with interdisciplinary research teams in social sciences, health and environmental matters. He has experience in mathematics education and communication and continues developing education and popularization tools.
